Elements of Engagement

The path to a life-changing encounter with God.

This journey is about more than climbing; it’s about encountering God in a transformative way. The upcoming challenges—physical, mental, and spiritual—will remove distractions, push your limits, and open your heart to hear from God.

Throughout these six months, you’ll experience:

Spiritual Growth – As you seek God intentionally, He will meet you in powerful ways.

Brotherhood – A team of men standing shoulder to shoulder, pushing each other, praying for each other, and walking through struggles together.

Physical Challenge – Pushing your body beyond what you thought possible, showing you that growth comes through struggle.

Personal Breakthrough – The mountain represents something bigger. What do you need to leave behind? What do you need to take hold of?

If you commit to the process—not just the climb, but the preparation, the relationships, and the pursuit of God—you will walk away from this experience changed. This isn’t just a trip. It’s a defining moment.

  • 1. Hunger for More of God (Spiritual)

This is the most important part of the journey.

Ask, Seek, Knock (Matthew 7:7-8) – This is a 6-month process with God and your team.

The climb is about transformation – What will you take with you? What will you leave behind?

Success isn’t the summit—it’s your growth. If those closest to you don’t see a difference, the trip was wasted!

  • 2. Commitment to Your Team (Relational)

This is a brotherhood, not just a hike.

Show up – Monthly meetings and team training aren’t optional.

Be real – Trust and authenticity matter. Are you willing to share your story, struggles, and secrets?

Go all in – Mountain Men is a shared adventure leading to a personal encounter with Jesus.

  • 3. Physical Preparation (Physical)

Your fitness impacts you and your team.

Be strong enough to help. Your team may need you.

Be fit enough to stay safe. Strength, endurance, and balance matter.

Training focus: Lose extra weight, hill training, cardio, strength (20 laps in 1 hr is a solid goal).

  • 4. Embrace the Struggle

This trip is meant to be hard—because hard things change us.

You reap what you sow. The effort you put in will determine what you get out.

Commit – To building relationships, training, and even adjusting your diet.

If not now, when? This is your chance to pursue Jesus, build real friendships, and take ground in your life. Don’t waste it.
